Anyone know what's going on here?

I've not been there this year, but used to be around before then. There was a big slate shed with tracks coming out of it an going round the corner for what I would have then called a trivial distance. I never saw any activity there though. Did they start some sort of service this year?

Yes, they did start a service earlier in the year. By August it would have built up to a 5 days a week operation.

It would appear according to a report I read on the Daily Post Website on Saturday that the Penrhyn Railway has suddenly closed! Somewhere I had been meaning to get round to visit.

Here is the link to the article: http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/sudden-closure-one-north-wales-13336368

This is a real shame as the railway was gaining recognition. A friendly place and in a historic location. There are a few images of Stanhope, Marchlyn and Winifred at Felin Fawr in my personal album. eg.
