Hi All,

I'm looking for some digital links for maps of Cornwall - as old as possible preferably? I've seen a number of the smaller town or individual mine maps through many posts on here (thank you), but I am looking for something county wide.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean internal mine plans or maps that show where mines are?

If the latter, National Library of Scotland is a good place to start.

Hi Jim,

More location maps over internal maps - I've had a good look on the NLoS previously but unfortunately there isn't one that scales out to the whole of the county - appreciate detail may be lacking due to the size but this isn't so much of a problem.

Have you used the NLS side-by-side option, you get a, generally, continuous mapping facility, at whatever coverage scale your eyesight can manage, accepting Cornwall's a bit of an odd shape, with current aerial imagery. That tends to be around 1890 using the 6 inch mapping series, but then if you find something specific you can refer back to the earlier mapping should additional detail be useful.
