Anyone know what is happening up there at the moment?

I understand that a old shaft opened recently and was then filled in by the landowner, that another sinkhole into a mine has opened below the old miner's cottages and when I went passed yesterday I noted that the shaft just to the side of the road, half way up the hill, has had the trees that were around it cleared.

Drive past here occasionally with craned neck. Always wanted to take more of a mooch but always feel I'm being watched! IP: 143.159.62.253

The chap in the farm on the left just after this shaft does seem to keep on eye on what is going on, but I've never had a problem walking around up there.
And the new owners of The Star are friendly!
