Thinking of my friends on here, an advance order has reduced Lynx X_12 to the last remaining headset. Happy to take advance order but could be after Christmas before lamp ready as awaiting Tesla cells for power bank anyway.

Could be that last commercially produced 7K lumen caplamp to ever be seen. I have one of my own that wont be for sale, no way.

Just a question Roy about a lynx X1000, if the blue battery level indicator lights stop working when you turn it upside down is it a sign of impending doom? The lamp is working as usual but not the level lights, unusually I stored my helmet upside down after last using it about 6 weeks ago as I usually hang it on a hook on the back of a door and wondered if this may have effected it.
I can live without it although I just wondered if it was perhaps an electronic precurser to total darkness Smile

All the lamps which indicate battery level by turning upside down do so by means of a gravity switch.
I have known these fail by sticking in the past, although rare.
Its a 5 minute replacement.

If the battery is charging and performing as expected in use, its no cause for concern, although inconvenient.

A few lamp related things for the New Year

Turn it upside down and give it a tap with apiece of wood, quickest fix yet!

#2 NAMHO 2019. The "committee of one" is quite busy with this up until July, this and other matters means that service may fall back slightly. Stock levels, response to inquiries etc. Sorry cannot be helped.

#3 Good news for some at least. The big bat cooker may not be dead yet, there may be a Scorpion version, but very likely 2020 before any available. See above.
