Worked under a variety of names and produced steady quantities of tin over a very long period.
Note the adit pouring ochreous water into the sea and the ladder still in situ in the top stope. A.K.Hamilton jenkin mentions having seen this in the 1960s.
For years you could access a good deal of these workings crossing a small incline shaft on a wooden bridge, the pump rod was still in place and a Torpedo shaped Windbore lay at the side of the drive in super condition.
When the council capped the shaft a large quantity of material was thrown down the shaft burying this archaeology forever.... C'est la vie.
