Wintershall K+S Potash Mine (Germany)
Because of the special conditions that existed at the time of their formation, the German deposits are the only ones in the world that contain kieserite in addition to potash salts. This makes it possible to extract the important plant nutrients potassium, magnesium and sulphur at the same time and to process them into high-grade mineral fertilizers.
