Mountain Camp (Mountain Maid) Gold Mine (Australia)

A group of small underground workings in the Brisbane Forest Park on the northeastern slopes of Camp Mountain. Mostly just short exploratory adits for gold and worked from time to time between 1885 and 1948. No significant production is recorded. The various individual sites within the group are all reasonably accessible but difficult to locate owing to the topography and locally thick undergrowth.
