Monkton Farleigh Limestone Mine (United Kingdom)
Originally a mine for quarrying Bath stone, Monkton Farleigh was used during WW2 as an ammunition store. The northern part of the mine is accessible from a mile long conveyor belt shaft rising from Farleigh Down Sidings. The southern part is sealed off for commercial use, being used by Wansdyke Security as a document storage facility.
