Mixon Hole Limestone Quarry (United Kingdom)
A large sunken hole (about 30metres deep) believed to be part of an old river estuary and an old Roman Quarry. This area of Selsey Bill was once (2000 years ago) dry land and it is believed that traces of an old Roman fort can be identified at this location in addition to rounded stones believed to be Roman catapult rounds at the bottom of the hole.
