Swanwick Common Colliery Coal Mine (United Kingdom)

This small pit is a bit of a mystery. It sits in a small copse on the West side of the Swanwick to Alfreton road and can be barely seen. The winding house and small headgear still stand. The winder is roofed and securely locked up. Both sheave wheels are in position. The shaft may or may not be capped properly.
