Description below by ICLOK-
Period of Operation was 1835 to 1891, re-worked 1912 to 1919 with some further investigation carried out in 1927 but no production.
the mine was situated between Letcha Cliff and Gribba Point as levels and open workings, the mine extends inland on lodes trending E 20Deg S, Here several shafts could be found on Hermon Hill and Carn Laskys. There are 3 adits next to the cliff footpath and the remains of a wheelpit. Only 6 tons of tin are recorded for this working in its early era with a further 10 tons of tin being sold in 1918 in the re-working. Workings are approx 27 Fathoms deep below sea level. The mine had a submarine level which apparently broke through the sea bed from a stope at some point of its operation.
