Cwmcarn Colliery Coal Mine (United Kingdom)

Started in 1836 as Abercarn No 6 but was known as Cwmcarn Pit by 1878 acting as the downcast shaft for Prince of Wales colliery, but was dis-used by 1902.
In 1912 the Ebbw Vale Steel & Iron Co re-opened it and sank a new Upcast shaft in 1914. The mine was known as Prince of wales and closed in 1968.
