Corbet Dovey Copper Mine (United Kingdom)
Although worked primarily for copper, some lead was produced, worked from 1861 to 1863 over 500 tons of copper ore were produced.
The mine is rather unique in that the tramway from the deep adit ran directly to a quay where the ore could be loaded directly onto boats.
Today an alleyway between a terrace of Victorian houses opens onto a yard, with the adit at the rear. It’s very likely that the tramway originally ran through this alley.
