Brixworth Iron Quarry (United Kingdom)

Thought to have started around 1872 Attenborough & Co, becoming Attenborough & Timms in 1890 and eventually operated by the Brixworth Ironstone Co Ltd as of 11/03/1909 which was a subsidiary of the Clay Cross Co Ltd from 1929. The workings had their final fling during the war after which there was little Ironstone left. The site was closed in 1947 and all equipment disposed of during January 1948.
