Bartinney Downs (Bartinney Tin) Tin Mine (United Kingdom)

On Bartinney Downs 2 miles or so SE of St Just. Originally 2 shafts with an adit enlarged with small openworks at later date. Although prospected during the 1940's by a Mr Harry of St Just. Little if any work appears to have been done and there are no records of output. Lease and other documents concerning that prospecting exist but throw little light on the findings within the mine.
There are few surface remains showing today and the adit has been blocked.
Cassiterite is the only confirmed mineral.
