Parish: GWENNAP+KEA
Data courtesy of Roy Morton and Roy Fellows. Once part of United Mines, later incorporated into Mount Wellington. Existing remains consist of the Count House and Engine House, both now private dwellings. The engine house appears to have housed an inverted beam engine, and the engine shaft itself is plugged with 3 metres of concrete. A second shaft by the roadside is covered with a concrete slab.
Also worked for a time with Nangiles and Bread and Cheese Mines.
I beieve that Friendship was the other name for Andrew and Magpie was the other name for Mount Wellington. Pickwick.
