Ok, Glynrhonwy, Take Two!
After last weeks aborted trip due to bad weather we will try again at Glynrhonwy Thumb Up

Mostly surface exploration, or just a nice gentle wander, but bring SRT kit as there are a couple of nice pits to drop.

As always, all are welcome. Carlin? Rockchick? The Eastern Division?

We will meet here:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ll=53.124391,-4.1325355&z=16&t=h&hl=en

at the entrance to Glyn Rhonwy Industrial Estate off the A4086, at the usual time of 1800

In case of truly awful weather.......we are still going, but I will line up something underground just in case Thumb Up

And as a slight change of style, we will round the evening off with a quick curry and half a lager at the local Indian restaurant, The Spice of Llanberis, which is very nice and quite reasonably priced too Thumbs Up

Some idea of numbers by Thursday lunchtime would be good please Flowers Flowers so that I can confirm with the guys at Spice that we are coming? I have already pre-warned them, so we may fine plastic tablecloths and bin liners on the seats when we get there Laugh Laugh

So a nice mix of exploration and socialising? See you there Thumbs Up

I'll be coming along and would never turn down a nice curry.

(I don't do SRT, but will amuse myself taking photos if others are being more adventurous.)

It was nice meeting you guys, I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Shame the bomb store is now plated and inaccessible, but there was still loads to see and a good curry was had by all.
I've started uploading a few photos to the Glynrhonwy Isaf User Album. Feel free to move any that I've put in the wrong place - not sure if the last site was still "Isaf" or not.

Meanwhile, can anyone identify Mystery Object Number One?

Bashing it with rocks didn't make it go off, but it did look distinctly military.

We were wondering if they'd used steam engines on the tramway, do you think this is soot on the ceiling?

Yes what a great evening out, and nice to meet a new face Thumbs Up Nice car, Willy Thumbs Up
So more of the same next Thursday night then? Drop the "Keep" pit and onwards from there!
Might have to give the curry a miss though....stuffed! Shocked didn't eat until 3 o'clock this afternoon and my harness was tighter than normal in work this morning Laugh Laugh Laugh
I will start a new thread tomorrow for next week's trip, and hopefully Llion will be fighting fit by then?
