I've had an enquiry about Ackton Hall Colliery, can't find it in the database. Was it known by any other name?

On the 1893 OS it's marked as Ackton Hall & Featherstone Manor Collieries, though by 1907 it is simply Ackton Hall Colliery, and appears to stay that way. Linked on the surface by an extensive surface rail network to Featherstone Main Colliery.

No, Featherstone, West Yorks.

The village of Ackton is just to the NW of Featherstone, but Ackton Hall Colliery was right next to the railway line in Featherstone.

Assuming of course that there was only one Ackton Hall Colliery in the UK!

The info I want to load up is for the Ackworth shaft of Acton Hall Colliery Near Pontefract (hence I assume near Ackworth) in West Yorks.
Thanks for the postings, I'll add a new mine Flowers

There were the shafts for Ackton Hall Colliery as stated at Featherstone, where also the coal came out. There was also a manriding shaft on the outskirts of Ackworth on the left hand side of the road after leaving Ackworth towards Featherstone. The site now has a small housing estate on it with a couple of the old "officials" houses fronting the road IP: 92.11.163.25
