Has anyone heard anything more about the closure of Speleo Technics. I (and many others) use Speleo Technics kit for outdoor activity groups and the loss of access to spares, chargers, etc is a bit of a concern. I was in the market for 2 x 5 bank chargers for Nova batteries but as far as I am aware these were only made to order. Does anyone know if the business is being taken over by anyone?

As far as I know Speleo went through a planned closure of the business. I don't think anybody has taken them over or has any plans to.

There was a thread on this a while back http://www.aditnow.co.uk/community/viewtopic.aspx?t=4961

As said in another post speleotechnics were very cutting edge at the time.

I bought an FX5 with charger in 1995 costing me 200 hard earned but the light output compared to an oldham/FX2 was outrageously bright.
I'm still using it now and am getting 4 hours out of the 10w bulb which is same as from new.

The guys retiring and full respect to him.
