German coal mine web site
Posted: 19/02/2010 23:43:02 Reply | Quote Just come across this german coal mine site, it is all in German of course, but with Google translate the site is a tad easier to understand, interestingly they went through closures and protests just like our pits in the late 1980's..anyway hope this link works . Plenty of organised marches and protests, petitions to Goverment and so on, but all to no avail. Just why all those goverment officials bothered going down the mine I don't know, photo oportunities ,big smiles and bullshit, when all along just like in the UK, the mines WERE GOING TO CLOSE, it was a done deal even when it all started way back in the 1980's & we thought it was just Maggie Thatcher!! -- you'll need a magic wand to fix that IP: 86.180.76.202 |
