It was in the angle between the Pilgrims' Way and The Sheepwalk footpath, largely to the west of The Sheepwalk. The last working was in the cutting that ends abruptly when it reaches the Pilgrims' Way. The factory buildings were in the woods south of this cutting. There is an opencast pit to the east of the Sheepwalk, also south of the Pilgrims' Way. The edge of this is in that photo showing as a brown area.

The underground ones date from very short-lived attempts to dig into the mine. The site is well and truly sealed up, and is one of the few I would class as a true death trap, and should really be left to "lie in peace".

Who recognises the lad in 2359?
