Not out of maximum lumens out at any expense, or max lumens for minimum bucks (yes, I'm sure one day there will be cheaper and brigher lights) but because it looked like a light that would hold it's own in terms of output for some time but more importantly it's seriously tough.Also worth pointing out it's made in Europe to excessively high standards, to the extent that WiseLED back them with a 3 year trade in guarantee if any problems ever arise [link]. The battery is reckoned to be rated for 10 years. I'd be happy to call one my own  If I could afford one! How does that look, I can't afford my own products  although seriously, compared to the £200 to £250 I spent on the gas discharge Light Canon 100 about 18 months ago the WiseLED represents much better value.-- If you have to eat a frog, don't spend a lot of time looking at it IP: 83.148.135.213 |

Posted: 22/09/2008 23:30:20 Reply | Quote I've had my Tactical for over a year now, and even with the rapid development of LED lights, nothing 'off the shelf' comes close to it with regards to design, performance & build quality. If you're looking for a high performance light, try to forget the credit crunch, take out a mortgage and buy one - you won't be disappointed. IP: 84.92.35.248 |

One tip is that I feel that the plastic lens could get scratched on very rough trips but the cap from a large aerosol can (like spray foam)makes a good cover. IP: 87.82.19.27 |
