A quick plug for Mark at Corris Mine Explorers Thumbs Up

Something a bit different for the summer season...

"We'll soon be starting our exciting summer theatrical production 'Life and Death Underground'. The dramatic story of a traditional Victorian mining family will unfold, by candlelight, in our old Braich Goch mine every Wednesday from 27th July to 29th August. Tickets now available!"

Maybe we ought to make a night out of it and book some tickets for one of the performances?

Sounds like great fun Big Grin

Matinee performance would be out for me I'm afraid, but an evening would be ok Thumbs Up
Perhaps we could combine it with a trip or a "social"?

Would it help if I organised it? If there is sufficient interest then let me know and I'll make a group booking?

Note: I'm away to the Olympics, Turkey and Cyprus from the 8th to the 28th of August so I would go on the 1st or the 29th.

Go somewhere for food after? Cross Foxes?

Plenty of time left but I will make contact in a couple of weeks and see how it looks. In the meantime anyone else interested?

I wouldn't call it great, but it is an Indian, and it does serve food.

Am a big fan of the Taj Mahal in Mach, has always hit the spot after a long day.
Was far from impressed with the Cross Foxes though. The curry house in Dolgellau is no good.

I always thought the Taj was good too....Lamb Rogan Josh Big Grin

What was the problem with the Cross Foxes? Quantity and price probably??! One of these new fancy places that charge "per chip"??!!

Nothing in Dolgellau, I agree Thumb Down

It's a few weeks off yet so I'll put it to the vote later on and let democracy prevail Smartass

A new event now added. See the new thread and also the "Events" page. Numbers to be confirmed but I believe it will sell out pretty quickly! Today was the first performance and apparently was a great success. This is something different and not something you get the chance to do every day so lets support it!

So far we have:

Me & Mrs Sinker
Simonrl
Corin
Skimble
Suboffender

Lets get a few more and make a night of it!
I've made a provisional booking at the Four Crosses for food after.....I had to make a decision or it would never get off the ground! Big Grin
If anyone would rather go somewhere else (Indian in Machynlleth??) we can change things later but lets get some numbers first and go from there! Thumbs Up
