On a rather wet Tuesday this week I walked from Llangollen to Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog. This is a fantastic area bordering the Wayfarer Pass. I managed to find the Memorial marked on the OS Map at SJ131375. Not much info on the web, but he was clearly an important man and maybe some member can contribute more information.
The inscription reads:

JAMES DARLINGTON
1854 - 1933
GO AND DO THOU LIKEWISE

There is also a stone structure nearby, which might have been used for baptisms?

The Memorial is just a few yards up from the stile where the footpath leaves the forest. A lot of forestry work is going on in this area.
